I was so fortunate to get to spend the last week with two dear friends in the land of BIG SKY. Tina Crespo and I traveled to Bozeman, Montana to meet our friend Anna Patterson. It was such a special time to see someone’s home and family who I have known mostly virtually. It created a 3-dimensional understanding of Anna, her life and her art – the sky! The sky!!! Her paintings have never made more sense and have never touched me deeper.
I think it is so special, especially as adults, to get concentrated time together. It is hard to do and sometimes it is uncomfortable. We get locked into routines (and just plain surviving.) But that is the point – to get out of the routine, to be uncomfortable, to gain perspective, to come back a-new.
I am forever grateful for my time with these two loves. And always grateful for any time I get to spend in Montana! I can’t wait to go back.
We spent three days but felt like we had been gone a lifetime! We did all of our favorite things – looked at beautiful art and craft, ate delicious food and drank outstanding drinks, and went to Yellowstone – my perfect trip! xoxo Sarah
