Remember how I said it was going to be a busy month. Well, that was an understatement. It was full to the brim and I actually enjoyed it. Here’s why:
Back in 2020 when I pulled out my Annual Plan calendar I looked at how to spread things out to give each month fair attention. But October, because of some set-in-stone dates was just going to be full. So I planned for it. I set myself up all year to dig into those months. I gave myself a bunch of time off in August and then planned for this time in November to be rejuvenating. As September turned to October it felt like I was at the starting line. As a runner, this metaphor is really important to me. Running a race isn’t easy. It is actually quite hard but there is an end. So I train, I eat well (especially the weeks leading up to the race), and I plan to be uncomfortable for the length of the race. I put my mind in that same mental space for the month of October. And guess what, it wasn’t that bad. I actually had a little fun.
I had trained well. I had planned. I stuck to a morning routine to ground me. And what came out of that was a feeling of accomplishment that I hadn’t felt before. I realized that I am stronger than I thought and it made me better at planning for the future.
Some highlights from the month:
My 3rd Field + Supply October Market
I was a speaker for Bonnie Christine’s Immersion Live (more on that soon)
I hosted my 2021 Wonder Mastermind in my town, West Chester for a 2 Day retreat
As the retreat ended we rolled into applications for the 2022 year and I am so excited to say that I got a bunch and I am finalizing the list for next year today!
As I roll into the “busy season” of the holidays I’m ready. I know that I am capable and I have the tools. October taught me that.
Until next time, xoxo Sarah
