WONDER | The Atwater Designs Mastermind

Here we go! It’s my 2nd year launching a mastermind for creatives and my 3rd year running a mastermind! And my 16th year being an educator to students in the arts. I am thrilled to offer this space where we can grow together in accountability, friendship, clarity, and direction.

If I have heard one thing from artists and creatives over and over it is that they know they want to pursue this career but they just aren’t quite sure how to put one foot in front of the other because there is a lot in their brain and a lot of education out there and it can be difficult to know the right next step for each individual.

This was true for me too.

I felt and still feel (particularly when I am embarking on something new) that I don’t know how to sort through all the ideas that I have in my head and turn them into an organized path forward.

Sound familiar? I get it. It’s so hard. But when a few things come together it can be a lot easier to see what lies ahead. Those things are why I built this mastermind. I built the thing I wanted and needed.

1. COMMUNITY – a small, intimate group of women that are in the same situation (trying to build a business from their art)

2. ACCOUNTABILITY – people who know you and your business well enough to give you actual, meaningful feedback.

3. SUPPORT – creating and selling art isn’t just a job. As artists we share our heart to the public. We take the intimate act of creating artwork and put it out in front of people. There are a lot of things, especially as women, that can impact this act. Maybe you are a mom, or caring for a parent, or looking after a field of animals, or working 3 jobs, or dealing with past trauma. These pieces of our lives have to be honored in our art practice. It is in the recognition of these things that we can actually pave a way forward.

4. ACTIONABLE STEPS – I have found that I need a mix of a kick in the butt and hug in my creative career. Maybe you are the same? I need the tender, sweet care and I need the actual action step to move me out of thinking and into doing. This comes in the form of education workshops where I teach you about real tactics to get more eyes on your work, make better financial decisions and utilize your art to build a business that will support you and your dreams.

5. FUN – you have to build in some fun or why in the world do we even do this??

Applications open Wednesday, October 20, 2021 and close on Monday, October 25, 2021. Applicants will be notified by Friday, October 29, 2021 and you will have one week to accept the invitation with a payment in full or subscription to monthly payments for the 2022 year starting in November.
